SXSW at the Four Seasons, Austin

I happened to be in Austin for the South by Southwest music festival, though only for one day. I stayed one night at the Four Seasons. When I checked out in the morning this band was playing. It is about 8am and they sounded fantastic. I think it was David Dyer but no-one seemed to really know. It was was such an unexpected treat.

Traveling Harmonica

I have decided a harmonica is a very good thing to travel with. It is light, doesn't take much set up time and is not too noisy. It should also be fun to learn. I wish I had thought of this years ago. I have a decent harmonica I bought from Dollywood a few years ago. It is time to see what I can do with it.

Scandinavian Pop Videos and Presenting Data

The reference on my last post to Junior Senior video reminded me of Royskopp's 'Remind Me' video. Apart from the track being used to great effect in a Geico 'Caveman' ad, it is a brilliant video, and given how it presents data in a such a compelling way, I think Edward Tuft would appreciate it as well.
